Unlocking Innovation Zone

UI (Unlocking Innovation) is a RIA programme, supported by Network Rail and other stakeholders, including UKRRIN (UK Rail Research & Innovation Network of universities), to focus on new ideas and thinking that could benefit the railway, its passengers and the economy. The UI presentation programme will run each morning and afternoon throughout Railtex - covering:

  • High Level Challenges / Opportunities from UK rail clients
  • Near Term Challenges / Opportunities from Tier 1s and Tier 2s
  • Help with Funding and Partners to take your innovation to market
  • Elevator Pitches from a range of contributors, including SMEs and Start-ups – curated in collaboration with UKRRIN and other associations.

Adjacent to the UI Presentation area, you can continue your innovation discussions at the UI Showcase stand, with our UI presenters and their colleagues including Network Rail, RIDC, Tier 1s, HS2, regional authorities, UKRRIN and InnovateUK.
