Infrarail 2021

Our Partners

Railtex and Infrarail continue to receive strong support from major organisations shaping the UK’s rail industry.

Main Partner

Railway Industry Association

The Railway Industry Association (RIA) is the voice of the UK rail supply community. RIA works to build a bigger and better rail supply industry by promoting the importance of the rail system to UK plc to policy makers, representing the views of suppliers to clients and industry bodies, helping export UK expertise around the globe and sharing best practice and innovation across the industry. The Association has more than 300 member companies active across the whole of railway supply and covering a diverse range of products and services. The membership includes both multi-national companies and SMEs (60% by number).  RIA members support a national railway that contributes £36 billion in economic growth and £11 billion in tax revenue each year, as well as employing 600,000 people—more than the workforce of Birmingham.

HS2 will be a high-speed railway connecting London to Birmingham from 2026, Crewe by 2027 and then, along a Y-shaped route, to Manchester and Leeds from 2033. It will provide fast, frequent and reliable services for over 100 cities and towns, including eight of the UK’s largest urban areas. As soon as the project breaks ground, almost a decade before the first passengers board the new trains, HS2 will be a catalyst for growth across Britain, opening up local and regional markets, attracting investment and improving skills and job opportunities for hundreds of thousands of people across the whole country.

Network Rail

Network Rail runs, maintains and develops Britain's rail tracks, signalling, bridges, tunnels, level crossings, viaducts and 17 key stations. They are improving the rail network - providing faster, more frequent and more reliable journeys between Britain's towns and cities. This is bringing people and businesses closer together, making Britain more competitive and a better place to do business.
